In a European context where decarbonization and the sustainable valorization of organic resources are becoming priorities, the focus on biogas and biomethane represents one of the most concrete directions for Romania’s energy transition.

With an integrated approach, we provide complete solutions for biogas and biomethane production, adapted to technical, economic and environmental requirements. As the exclusive partner of Flottweg, Huber, HRS and Valmet, we offer complementary technologies covering the entire production cycle, from the pretreatment of organic substrates to digestate management and process automation.

This unified and collaborative approach is part of the “Team Agriculture” philosophy, the central theme of RALF 2025, where we will be present to discuss circular models and energy independence in Romanian farms.

1. Flottweg – separation and conditioning of raw materials

The German company Flottweg is a global benchmark in solid–liquid separation and in biogas plants, its equipment plays a critical role in optimizing digester feeding and reducing operating costs.

  • Flottweg Tricanters ensure three-phase separation for challenging streams (food waste, fats);

  • Systems can be delivered containerized, ready for operation;

  • By reducing transported volumes, logistics costs decrease and digestion becomes more stable.

2. Huber – pretreatment, digester protection and digestate treatment

Huber Technology offers a complete range of equipment for biogas plants, covering all stages of the process, from digester protection to digestate dewatering.

  • Sand and grit separation through RoSF® units;

  • Post-treatment: S-PRESS screw presses and HUBER Solar/THERMO dryers reduce digestate moisture, preparing it for agricultural use or efficient transport;

  • Integration of heat from cogeneration ensures high energy efficiency and stable thermal performance.

3. HRS – heat recovery, pasteurization and digestate concentration

HRS Heat Exchangers designs high-performance heat transfer systems based on corrugated tubes and scraped surfaces.

  • Digestor heating via DTI systems with excellent heat transfer;

  • Energy recovery from exhaust gases (series G);

  • DPS pasteurization in three tanks, with minimal energy consumption;

  • DCS concentration – reduces digestate volume by up to 80%;

  • BDS biogas dehumidification – condenses up to 90% of contained water.

By combining these steps, HRS enables the energy optimization of the plant, transforming residual heat into a valuable resource, a topic increasingly present in discussions about efficiency and energy autonomy.

4. Valmet – automation, control and online measurement

Valmet provides advanced automation and online analysis solutions for biogas plants, integrating process performance into a single platform.

  • Valmet TS – optical sensor for real-time measurement of solids content;

  • Valmet DNA – complete platform for process control, energy data integration and operational optimization;

  • Perfect compatibility with Flottweg, Huber, and HRS technologies.

This full automation ensures operational stability, safety, and total traceability, essential elements in modern biogas facilities.

5. The Consultech synergy – one partner, four technology leaders

Through exclusive collaboration with Flottweg, Huber, HRS, and Valmet, we bring to Romania a complete package for biogas and biomethane plants, covering every stage of the process:

Process stage Main solution Supplier
Pretreatment, separation Decanter centrifuges / Tricanter Flottweg
Filtration, washing, dewatering STRAINPRESS, S-PRESS Huber
Heating, pasteurization, concentration DTI, DPS, DCS HRS
Automation and control Valmet TS, DNA Valmet

Conclusion

The integrated solutions we bring to the market allow the transition from a fragmented approach to a unified and predictable one, reducing environmental impact and increasing the profitability of biogas and biomethane projects.

Through accumulated expertise and strong technology partnerships, we transform organic waste into clean energy, actively contributing to Romania and the region’s objectives for circular economy and climate neutrality.

This is also the direction we will discuss at RALF 2025, together with farmers, processors and agricultural leaders, because the green transition begins when energy, resources, and technology work together.
