The sludge generated during wastewater treatment is converted into biogas and digested sludge in digesters. A third of the world's food production ends up as waste, accumulating in production facilities, restaurants, cafeterias, and supermarkets. This food residue is repurposed as raw material for energy production in biogas systems.
