We are pleased to announce the conclusion of a partnership agreement with Primozone Production AB, a Swedish company recognized globally for efficient and economical ozone generators. Through this partnership, we are expanding our portfolio with next-generation ozonation systems and we are offering access to Primozone solutions and full local support to our clients in Romania, Hungary, Moldova and the Balkan region.
Key benefits of Primozone ozone generators for our clients
- High energy efficiency: Primozone generators optimize energy consumption with patented low voltage and high frequency technologies for ozone production. The result is energy consumption up to 50% lower compared to conventional systems, without compromising treatment capacity.
- Reduced operating costs: In addition to energy savings, Primozone systems optimally consume the oxygen needed to generate ozone, automatically adjusting the flow rate based on the utilized capacity. The smaller volume of gas to be processed leads to lower costs for auxiliary equipment (injection pumps, residual ozone destruction systems). In the long term, these significant OPEX savings bring important financial benefits.
- Modularity and scalability: The modular design of Primozone generators allows easy adaptation to the needs of each project. Standard modules can be combined to reach any ozone capacity, from small applications to large-scale industrial installations. A reserve module sized at ~50% of capacity is sufficient to achieve investment savings of approximately 40% in CAPEX.
- Reduced footprint: At the same time, modularity results in a reduced footprint: the equipment has compact dimensions that allow easy integration into tight or existing spaces, without the need for additional buildings. Systems can also be delivered in containerized (turnkey) configurations, easy to transport and install on-site.
- Minimal maintenance and easy operation: The systems have robust and reliable components, without consumable parts requiring frequent replacements. The clean and safe design, without couplings or external hoses, eliminates vulnerable leak points and increases operational safety. In the rare cases of intervention, the modular design allows quick servicing, without special tools and modules can be individually replaced in a few minutes. Additionally, the generators are equipped with intuitive HMI panels and automated control and monitoring systems.
- Performance: Primozone achieves the highest performance on the market, delivering ozone at very high concentrations (10–20% by weight) – far above the usual values of conventional generators. Also, the ozone is delivered at a pressure of up to 3 bar, allowing long-distance distribution without additional compressors. The generators operate extremely quietly, under 50 dB (quieter than a normal conversation), making them ideal for noise-sensitive environments.
- Compliance: Last but not least, the equipment fully complies with EU directives and laws regarding the use of ozone as an active substance and biocidal product. The ozone generated by these systems has been officially approved for use in PT2, PT4, PT5, and PT11 applications (according to EU Regulation 528/2012), a category that includes water disinfection, the food industry, drinking water treatment, and preservation of cooling system water. Thus, our clients benefit from solutions aligned with legislation requirements and can legally and safely operate these installations within the European Union.

Applications in water treatment and industry
Primozone technology is suitable for a wide range of use cases, with solutions appropriate for both the municipal sector and industry. Due to its high oxidative power, ozone effectively eliminates microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi) and oxidizes organic pollutants without leaving behind harmful chemical residues. Here are a few examples of applications:
- Drinking water: Primozone ozone generators can be integrated into water treatment plants for disinfection and oxidation of emerging micropollutants (such as organic compounds or pharmaceutical residues). Ozone destroys pathogens and breaks down unwanted substances, improving water quality without generating dangerous by-products (unlike chlorination).
- Municipal and industrial wastewater treatment: Ozone is successfully used in treatment plants for disinfecting treated effluent (replacing or complementing chlorine/UV), but also for oxidizing hard-to-biodegrade compounds like phenols, dyes, detergents, or other pollutants from industrial wastewater.
- Cooling water treatment: In industrial cooling circuits and cooling towers, ozone offers a unique solution to multiple problems: it prevents the development of bacteria (including Legionella), algae, and biofilm, reduces BOD/COD and organic compounds through oxidation and microflocculation, and minimizes deposits and corrosion when used together with suitable inhibitors.
- Aquaculture (fish farms): In recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), treating water with ozone brings major benefits for fish health and growth. Ozone reduces the organic load in the water by oxidizing fine particles and dissolved compounds, improving the efficiency of biological filtration and water clarity. It also helps convert toxic nitrites into less harmful nitrates and maintains a cleaner environment, which lowers the risk of disease and mortality among fish.
Primozone technology demonstrates versatility and effectiveness, contributing to safer, more eco-friendly, and more economical processes. Ozone produced at high concentrations maximizes the degree of oxidation, which allows treatment goals to be achieved with minimal resource consumption.
The importance of the Consultech–Primozone partnership for Romania and the region
Through this agreement, we become the official distributor and integrator of Primozone solutions in the region, which means we can provide local clients with access to state-of-the-art equipment, as well as the entire range of associated services. Thus, we offer technical consulting for selecting the optimal system, on-site installation and commissioning of ozone generators, as well as complete after-sales services: maintenance, authorized servicing, supply of spare parts, and prompt technical support in the local language.

At EXPOAPA 2025, the most important regional forum dedicated to water, we presented for the first time to the Romanian public the Primozone technology, alongside the other innovative solutions of our international partners. We thank our colleagues from Primozone for the support given at EXPOAPA 2025 and for the trust in choosing us as representatives in the region. Together, we aim to raise the standards regarding water quality and the efficiency of treatment processes in Romania and neighboring countries.
