With a history that began in 1965, Brentwood Industries technologies are present in thousands of applications worldwide, where they demonstrate consistent performance in wastewater treatment, biological treatment, clarification, stormwater management and many others. The Brentwood portfolio is now also available in Romania, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova, through the exclusive partnership with Consultech.
Through this collaboration, clients in the region can quickly and safely access solutions such as AccuFAS®, SedVac®, StormTank®, lamella systems, or trickling filters, with the guarantee of correct installation and complete long-term technical support. Brentwood solutions, together with our expertise in design, implementation and maintenance, contribute to increased operational efficiency, cost reduction, and sanitary compliance in the most demanding industries.
How the collaboration between Brentwood – Consultech began and what does it brings to the market?
The collaboration between Brentwood Industries and Consultech arose naturally from the local market’s need to access wastewater and stormwater treatment solutions validated globally, supported by a local partner capable of integrating them into concrete projects – industrial or municipal.
Brentwood offers a vast portfolio of modern and efficient equipment – from biological and mechanical treatment systems to solutions for stormwater management – all with proven applicability in various industries such as wastewater treatment, the chemical industry, refineries, paper and pulp, or energy applications. Through this collaboration we open the access to these technologies, together with all the support needed for selection, design and integration.
Why the Brentwood – Consultech partnership is important for clients in Romania and the region
Brentwood delivers technologies tested in thousands of international applications and we take care of their implementation to high standards, without compromises. With a team of over 15 field engineers and our own logistics (specialized utility vehicles, a 1,000 m² warehouse, stocks of parts and rental equipment), we can guarantee rapid response times, on-time installations and efficient long-term maintenance.
For you, all these things translate into fewer risks, a smooth technological transition and a single point of contact for all operational aspects, from the bidding phase to the daily operation of the system. Brentwood provides reliability, and we ensure continuity.
Brentwood industrial solutions, available in the region through Consultech
AccuFAS® Systems
AccuFAS® is a structured fixed-film biological treatment system designed to improve the capacity and performance of existing treatment plants. The AccuFAS solution adds additional fixed surface for the biomass of microorganisms, optimizing air distribution and maximizing contact between wastewater and the biofilm. Made of structural plastic media (honeycomb-type shapes) developed by Brentwood, the system is resistant to clogging, does not detach or wash out of the basin, and does not affect the hydraulic profile of the installation.
SedVac® Systems
SedVac® is an innovative system for removing deposited sediments in clarifiers, designed to clean the layer of compressed sludge in clarifiers with high efficiency. Unlike traditional vacuum pipes, which are prone to clogging, SedVac uses a mobile suction assembly with a unique design that can handle very high concentrations of sludge and sand – up to 3% solids – constantly removing sediments across a wide range of influent conditions.
In practice, SedVac has demonstrated that it can remove twice as much sludge in half the time, using 50% less water for cleaning compared to competing solutions, reducing the frequency of manual cleaning and ensuring significant operational savings. The result is a more efficient clarification process, with a low level of solids in the effluent and increased reliability of clarifier operation in the long term.
StormTank® Modules
The StormTank® Module is a modular underground solution for the storage of stormwater, used in retention, detention, infiltration and rainwater harvesting applications. Practically, StormTank modules create underground reservoirs with large volume, installed under parking lots, roads, or green spaces, where they can temporarily retain stormwater flows and release the water in a controlled manner, preventing flooding during torrential rains..
Stormwater management solutions
In addition to StormTank modules, Brentwood offers a complete range of solutions for stormwater management, meant to help communities and companies manage rainwater sustainably. These solutions include infiltration and drainage systems that allow stormwater to gradually infiltrate into the soil, recharging the groundwater, as well as controlled-retention systems that release the water slowly into the sewer network to prevent its overloading.
Trickling filters
Trickling filters are a modern technology for biological treatment of wastewater, renowned for its simplicity and energy efficiency. Brentwood has a long experience in supplying contact media and accessories for such systems, with over 500 installations worldwide. Trickling filters use a bed of material on which a biofilm forms; the wastewater is distributed over this bed, and the microorganisms in the biofilm degrade organic pollutants as the water percolates.
Brentwood solutions include both structural media (contact blocks) and auxiliary components (rotary distributors, support systems, etc.), with the guarantee of optimal long-term efficiency.
Lamella settling systems
Lamella settling systems are used in treatment plant clarifiers to improve solids separation and increase settling capacity without requiring new large-size basins. Practically, a lamella settling module consists of packs of inclined tubes or plates, arranged in the upper area of the clarifier, which create a much larger settling surface in a compact volume.
Brentwood has developed lightweight, robust PVC tube settler systems with UV inhibitors, which can be adapted to any basin configuration. The implementation of these lamella modules has proven to be a cost-effective solution for drinking-water and wastewater plants: they allow the increase of treated flow (or improvement of effluent clarity) by expanding the settling surface, reduce the need for space for building new clarifiers, and contribute to lowering operating costs per cubic meter of treated water.
